Nasce a Capo d’Orlando (ME). Nel 1989 si trasferisce a Roma che diventa la sua città adottiva. Di professione avvocato, coltiva fin da giovane la passione per l’arte contemporanea, maturando nel corso del tempo il desiderio di varcare la soglia che divide la fruizione dalla creazione. Dopo diversi anni di sperimentazioni e ricerche, condotte con discrezione e note solo a una piccola schiera di amici, dal 2022 Titti Faranda esce allo scoperto con la sua prima mostra aperta al pubblico. Il suo progetto creativo immagina l’arte in continua trasformazione. Arte ecosostenibile che ha come sostanza espressiva il riciclo_riuso di materiali industriali. Plastiche, tessuti, lamiere con una vita nuova da plasmare.

Nascono quadri, sculture, installazioni che aprono lo sguardo alla curiosità di un mondo rigenerato. Il linguaggio artistico di Titti Faranda si basa sul principio del Assisted ready-made dadaista, che consiste nella combinazione di più oggetti che, perdendo il loro valore d’uso quotidiano, si trasformano in un’opera d’arte esprimente un concetto. La maggior parte degli elementi che compongono i suoi ready-made sono vecchi oggetti sottratti allo smaltimento, che riacquistano una nuova vita e un inedito significato grazie al processo artistico di ‘riciclo’.

Titti Faranda

Born in Capo d’Orlando. In 1989, she moved to Rome, which has become her adoptive city. By profession, she is a lawyer, and has cultivated a passion for contemporary art since her youth, gradually developing the desire to cross the threshold that separates enjoyment from creation. After several years of discreet experimentation and research known only to a small circle of friends, in 2022 Titti Faranda comes to light with her first exhibition open to the public. Her creative project envisions art in continuous transformation—ecosustainable art that expresses itself through the recycling and reuse of industrial materials. Plastics, fabrics, and sheets find a new life to be shaped. The results is: paintings, sculptures, and installations that open the eye to the curiosity of a regenerated world. Titti Faranda's artistic language is based on the principle of the Dadaist Assisted Ready-Made, which consists of combining multiple items that, by losing their everyday use value, transform into a work of art expressing a concept. Most of the elements that create her ready-made are old items rescued from disposal, regaining a new life and unprecedented meaning through the artistic process of recycling.
